Job Description
Role: Senior Test Automation Engineer
Salary: Up to 115k
Set-up: Hybrid (BGC)
The Role
As a senior automation tester in our project team, you will be responsible for
Developing and executing automated tests using Selenium, TestComplete, Squish, or equivalent tools Additional experience in Visual Studio Test Professional and Coded UI (Windows) welcome
Creating, enhancing, debugging, and running Test Cases
Maintaining automation scripts and writing new reusable code
Management of automated testing environments and software installations
Experience in crafting a team-wide automated test strategy across all layers of the application
Supporting software developers with debugging issues raised from test scenarios during the software development phases
Issue tracking management and resolution
Adhering to all internal and external quality process standards
Providing evidence-based testing results to senior members of the project team to successfully sign off application releases
The Requirements
4+ years of experience in automated testing with demonstrable knowledge of analysis, creation, and execution of test cases within an Agile (SCRUM) project ideally in the Pensions or Insurance industry, or otherwise in the financial sector
Robust automated scripting skills using any of these scripting languages (JavaScript, VB)
Experience and knowledge of automation toolsets and environments (Team Foundation Server, Test Manager, or equivalent)
Experience working in an Agile (SCRUM) environment
Experience in testing financial software on Windows desktops as well as web technologies
First-rate analytical, communication & documentation skills in English and attention to detail
Must be able to work unsupervised, to tight deadlines with a team-oriented ethos
Qualifications for automation tester are beneficial
