Description
As a System Engineer, you will work as part of a global team, which is responsible for Streaming Services within IT Infrastructure, Unified Communication Services. Specifically, the System Engineer Streaming Services will be focusing on the delivery and execution of live streaming, webcast, virtual events, and video on demand technology and services for over 50,000 users at BI. Your core responsibility will be to design, implement, and deliver IT systems and standards that support a harmonized and consolidated streaming service at BI, including maintenance, optimization and 3rd level support plus basic technology consulting. Duties & Responsibilities
Serves as an expert for Streaming systems and services, such as webcast, live production, recording, virtual events, and video on demand
Support the Streaming team in testing, developing and implementing streaming technology standards and services;
Advising internal customers (end users) regarding Streaming solutions at BI and providing best fit Streaming, Virtual events and/or virtual collaboration solutions as needed;
Execution of webcasts (live streaming), including rehearsal, utilization of AV (audiovisual) equipment, live production, recording and post-event video editing;
Expert for video on demand solutions for video content sharing;
Project Management activities as required;
Streaming system and solution support: provide maintenance, optimization, innovation and 3rd level support for implemented and/or assigned conferencing solutions:
Service delivery according to SLA;
Understanding of BI Framework and comply with documentation requirements;
Perform regular checks of AV Streaming equipment;
Onsite and remote live streaming and virtual events support.
Requirements
Experience
Bachelor Degree in IT or equivalent;
Work experience in Streaming technologies;
Extensive knowledge of Streaming technologies, services and devices, to include but not limited to:
Live streaming and webcast production technology (Teams Live Events, QUMU, vMix, or similar)
Video on Demand (VOD) platforms (Brightcove, Microsoft Stream, or similar)
Virtual Event platforms (6Connex, Proske, or similar)
Working knowledge of IT Infrastructure, especially Network and implication of streaming/virtual events on internal networks (example VPN, internet breakout, eCDN - Content Delivery Network)
Experience in executing live events, from rehearsal, live execution, production - either remote or with studio/physical AV studio set up- and post event activities, both in streaming and full virtual event format
Mandatory Skills
Ability to advise/consult on Streaming technologies options and processes to end users
Strong communication skills and comfortable with dealing with internal VIP-customers/speakers, as well as dealing well with pressure of a live event
Project Management capability
Ability to take over system lead accountabilities
Ability to work independently as well as working a team-player in a virtual global team
Fluency in English required, other languages such as Chinese or other Asian languages would be a plus
Available for travel if required, especially to Singapore (Regional Hub)
