Description
We're looking for a mid- to senior-level Ruby on Rails developer responsible for maintaining and expanding Ruby-based system applications. Your primary responsibility will be to support and grow these applications, designing and developing new features to meet unique client needs. You will work with various teams, both in and out of the development team. Thus, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and building quality products is essential.
• Develop and maintain features requested.
• Work closely with development teams in UK and other third parties.
• Interact with product, customer support, marketing, and design team.
• Gather and analyze customer requirements from product, marketing and customer support teams.
• Automate and streamline existing processes, procedures, and toolsets.
• Ensure code paths are unit tested and defect free.
• Participate in full integration testing and QA process.
• Address issues and fix defects requested by QA, product, customer support, and marketing teams in a timely manner.
Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience, is required.
• Should posses the following technical skills: Ruby on Rails (minimum 5 years experience), Slim, Redis, Sidekiq, Postgresql, Capistrano, Git, AWS Services
• Technical skills that energize multi-discipline work teams to respond to business needs
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Ruby on Rails framework
• Must have full stack experience using Rails, Heroku/AWS, RDBMS (PostreSql/Mongo DB), and React/Bootstrap
• Proficient with code versioning tools, e.g. Github
• Must enjoy learning new things and working with mature products
• Must be self-directed and work well in a remote team environment
• Experience in IT Manufacturing and Production is an advantage.
• Willing to be based in Clark, Pampanga
