TYLin's Philippine Branch was founded in Manila in 2021. The branch office is working on a high-profile and one of the biggest infrastructure projects of the Philippine Government. The Philippine Branch office envisions itself to become a major industry player by promoting its services to various sectors.
TYLin's Philippines office is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge (BCIB) Project who will be reporting to the Project Manager or deputy, working in Manila Philippines in fulfilling the delivery objectives for the Detailed Engineering Design for the Project. This is a regular-full time position.
Responsibilities
Work with diverse disciplines in bridge design delivery, including but not limited to structural, civils, environmental, social, finance, and economics.
Liaison with the DPWH (Client), the Asian Development Bank, and other government agencies.
Coordinate with overseas TYLin offices and partners as well as local associates.
Coordinate with Specialty Consultants.
Review engineering design, plans, specifications and estimates in accordance with applicable design codes.
Ability to work as part of a team to provide deliverables and meet deadlines.
Ability to check drawings and to coordinate with clients (architects, other engineers, general contractors, etc.).
Working knowledge of codes such as ASBI, PCI, AASHTO, ACI, AISC, etc.
Provide assistance to ensure that drawings, calculations and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards and strengths and follow Quality Assurance and Control procedure.
Assist in the preparation of project data for schedules, assist in preparing schedules and budgets in order to monitor progress reports.
Ability to provide quality control/quality assurance to ensure deliverables are of high quality and on-time.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
6 + years bridge design/construction experience is required, with experience in managing design/construction of Cable Stay Bridges and Precast Segmental Bridges.
Must be a registered professional engineer in Philippines or member of International Engineering Charters or Organizations.
Shall have solid project management skills, client relationship management, and adept in bridge engineering principles and code.
Strong project management and client relationship management skills, along with a strong work ethic, highly dependable and organized.
Experience in design of structural steel and concrete.
Familiarity with DPWH and local Philippine codes.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required or equivalent international charters
Master's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is preferred.
Requires knowledge of engineering principals and industry standards.
Knowledge of AutoCAD.
Strong communications skills (written and oral) and experience coordinating with multiple contractors and trades at one time.
Knowledge of meeting design schedules and budgets.
Travel may be required.
