Job Description
Designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance.
Design, create, and implement database systems based on the end user's requirements.
Improve application's performances.
Prepare documentations for database applications.
Memory management for database systems.
Develop database schemas, tables, and dictionaries.
Ensure the data quality and integrity in databases.
Fix any issues related to database performance and provide corrective measures.
Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures, and triggers to support application development.
Test databases and perform bug fixes.
Develop best practices for database design and development activities.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate needs to have a demonstrated working history with a minimum of 8 years in a similar role but the more senior the better. 10 + years preferred. Reporting directly to the IT Manager, this position requires working with colleagues across the IT department - from applications developers to network engineers - and from time to time, with third-party vendors, including cloud service providers.
The candidate must meet the following criteria
Extensive experience with SQL engineering using Microsoft SQL Server in a production environment.
Experience in supporting applications in Java, C++ , C, .NET framework.
Create databases with efficient structures.
Write optimized queries, views, and triggers for integration with other applications.
Maintain high standards of data quality and integrity.
Understand issues related to network performance and security.
Experience with reporting and business intelligence tools like Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Crystal Reports.
Experience working on medium to large projects web applications
The ability to work with a diverse project team, to ensure that the intent of the project is achieved.
Be able to think several steps ahead to ensure that decisions and actions taken by others contribute into the bigger picture of data quality assurance.
Have a relevant bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
The ability to work with a diverse project team, to ensure that the intent of the project is achieved.
Knowledge or experience with communicating with backend services using Angular.
