Will be the key person in terms of designing software solutions, directing the design of new applications from conception to completion and oversee the technical staff involved with the development project Designing software solutions, directing the design of new applications from conception to completion and oversee the technical staff involved with the development project Providing technical leadership to team members Participating in all agile ceremonies including Daily Stand Ups, Retrospectives, Sprint Planning and Sprint Review Supporting the team in project planning activities, estimating, evaluating risks, and prioritizes needs based on requirements Participating in formal code reviews to ensure standards are being met Reviewing and refactoring backend/frontend code using Nodejs, TypeScript, JavaScript Assisting and supporting removal of technical debt Conducting root cause analysis and resolution of application bug fixes Working closely with stakeholders to define product roadmaps/vision Defining, implementing and evangelising software development best practice Evaluating and implementing new technologies to support/enhance existing applications Mentoring other key staff Acting as a point of contact with other technology departments Your knowledge and expertise: Proven experience in modern application development Domain knowledge in Insurance, Insurtech, Claims Administration System Design Experience in containerisation/architecting apps to be cloud ready Design and Analysis experience on Enterprise level solutions using appropriate tools Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and converse with business stakeholders Experience in working with an Agile methodology Must have technologies Linux Systems MEAN stack - Mongo, Express, Angular and Node Mongodb, Cloud Mongodb, Mongodb Aggregation Pipelines Nodejs 10+ Angular2+ (Currently on Angular 11) TypeScript JavaScript CSS/LESS/SASS Nice to have skills Azure DevOps, Azure/AWS Infrastructure design Database design
