SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER
 
Job Summary
 
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining software programs as required, to support the technical capabilities at Miler, LLC. In alignment with technology roadmaps, the Senior Software Engineer plays an integral part in Agile planning, providing advice and guidance, monitoring emerging trends, and contributing to the solution delivery. To be successful, this role requires working effectively in a fluid, fast-paced environment, and good communication skills with management and team members.
 
Responsibilities
Develop new or maintain existing software programs based on specifications
Develop, implement and maintain unit tests
Actively participate in agile team activities
Participate in the design of new or changing programs
Participate in problem solving and troubleshooting for the assigned applications, or projects
Stay current with changes in the technical area of expertise
Collaborate with teams in geographically diverse locations, including Philippines, Kenya, and the USA. 
Ensure the quality of the assigned applications, or projects
Essential Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications
5+ years of working experience using C# and the .net framework
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of industry experience and education
Experience in design, development, and implementation of distributed, highly scalable, high-volume software systems, secured and client-facing web applications, or major commercial applications and systems
Solid understanding and knowledge in C# .NET, RESTful API
Demonstrated skills to work in an ambiguous environment and the ability to establish new and independent design thinking
Experience in building applications from conception and design, to implementation and support
Experience in coding within multiple technology stacks (e.g., Front-end: browser and device, Data: data access and back-end).
Experience with and exposure to various application lifecycle methodologies (e.g. agile, iterative)
Experience in analysis, design, and programming approaches
Experience with relational database technologies, particularly MS SQL
Experience in some of the AWS technologies like SQS, SNS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Fargate, and RDS
Working experience in CI/CD tools, such as GitHub and Octopus Deploy, and AWS terraforms.
