Provides application development leadership for new and existing software applications.
Partners with users and product owners in designing features.
Provides recommendation on how to enhance system for future growth.
Advises/recommends project and activities as related to system/architectural direction and strategy.
Creates and maintains code and documentation.
Delivers system presentations and overviews.
Evaluates feature/upgrade/change requests and recommends action.
Researches new technologies to enhance current system.
Provides technical leadership on projects.
Acts as subject matter expert in appropriate technologies and business domains.
Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents all phases of applications development.
Codes software applications adhering to designs supporting internal business requirements or external user.
Troubleshoots complex, difficult issues.
Determines project feasibility and integration plans with current systems.
Review code written by others and hold fellow engineers to code quality standards.
Helps in developing and improving operational efficiency of the team.
Provide Tier 2/3 Production Support for tools and applications developed.
Qualifications
Experience & education:
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
5+ years relevant experience in the software development role is required.
Experience in using MS ASP.NET, C#, REST Web Services, IIS 8.x
Experience using design/architectural patterns such as Model-View-Controller (MVC)
Strong background in SOAP/Rest Web Services, XML/RPC
Experience using DevExpress eXpressApp Framework (XAF)
Experience in SQL Server (2012 or higher) database
Create Integration services to consume/process data from other systems
Create REST services, micro-services design type. The services will interact with SQL Server database so SQL knowledge is required
Experience using MVC architecture, server side frameworks
Strong background in HTML5, CSS, JSP, MVC, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX
Experience using CI/CD, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, Visual Studio, SVN/GitHub/TFS
Experience with application servers (ex: Tomcat)
Languages
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
