This is a full-time position and not a short term project. Our client has established software development teams in several countries and you will be the first of the new development team in the Philippines. Our client has a large-scale and mature platform that is accessed by thousands of users worldwide.
• Participate in day to day activities involving software design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance.
• Develop and deliver high-quality code and maintain quality service levels.
• Follow client's protocols and procedures to ensure strong security and code integrity.
• Effectively communicate with supervisors, teammates, and other teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Effectively plan, set priorities, and meet deadlines and goals.
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Math, or a related subject.
• 5+ years of proven work experience in software development.
• 2+ years of proven work experience in Java development.
• Strong object-oriented programming and problem-solving skills.
• Experience developing server-side back end systems.
• Good knowledge of relational databases.
• Good communication skills, self-management, and motivation ability.
• Candidates must have a reliable home Internet connection.
Requirements
• Strong working knowledge and experience in Agile development methodology
• Strong object-oriented programming and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Java language with practical experience of JVM, multithreading, and network IO.
• Familiar with distributed service architecture and distributed cache, able to realize high concurrency and high availability system.
• Familiar with SQL database and principles. Proficient in using SQL statements, and have an understanding of database transactions, locks, and indexes. Experience with Oracle SQL a plus.
