The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Risk Assurance Analyst to join our globally connected Compliance and Risk Team. In this exciting role, you will have the flexibility to work remotely from the Philippines and collaborate effectively with our team in Australia using state-of-the-art tools.
As a valued member of our global Compliance and Risk Team, you will play a vital role in supporting our Enterprise Risk team. Your key responsibility will be to ensure Pepperstone has robust strategies and frameworks for identifying, assessing, managing, and reporting risks. Through your expertise in both operational and strategic risks, you will conduct comprehensive risk assessments, develop effective risk management strategies, and implement necessary controls to mitigate potential threats.

As our Senior Risk Assurance Analyst, your key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Managing the Pepperstone controls library - adding, updating and removing controls as needed
Partnering with the business to implement appropriate controls from our library where risk needs to be controlled.
Collaborating with internal or external auditors on assigned audits. Provide required information to achieve the required audit outcomes. Act with integrity and transparency when interacting on the assigned audits
Creating and maintaining a controls testing program of work (similar to an internal audit plan) that can be carried out annually. This will take into account stakeholder preferences, Pepperstone's strategy, enterprise risk appetite and priority areas
Driving proactive improvements to the business in ways that will improve controls, reduce risk and raise risk management standards while still supporting commercial business growth
Keep up to date with the latest trends and thought leadership in the risk and controls space
Assisting with the development and delivery of enterprise risk training
Performing annual and ad hoc risk assessments and commenting on the controls environment
Participating in Pepperstone's Business Process Risk Issue (BPRI) process to understand control failures, then drive the work needed to improve the controls environment
About You:
Demonstrated risk and assurance experience within a regulated organization in the financial services industry or "Big 4".
Knowledge of enterprise risk and control better practice standards (examples: ISO 31000, ISO 22301)
Good understanding of risk management frameworks and lifecycles (identification, analysis, evaluation, treatments, monitoring, reporting & ongoing improvement)
Good understanding of controls, control processes and their properties / metadata, implementation and testing of controls
Ability to create and facilitate a controls testing framework
Articulate and able to provide structured, concise, considered, and accurate guidance
Well-developed documentation and policy writing skills
Ability to work independently and confidently make decisions
Ability to work in a fast-paced and time-critical environment
Ability to work effectively with teams and stakeholders that are geographically distributed
