Job Description Reporting to: Project Manager
Description of the position: Senior RAN Engineer will review Radio Frequency and/or Radio Access Network design. He/She will be coordinate and supervise the construction and commissioning of the wireless communication system on several sites.
Main responsibilities:
▪ Manage wireless communication installation company.
▪ Liaise with local authorities.
▪ Progress supervision, monitoring & reporting.
▪ Assess monthly progress payment by subcontractor.
▪ Estimate and assess claims.
▪ Monitor implementation of Works procedures, Quality procedures and Safety plan.
▪ Coordinate with Engineer and/or the Client for clarifications or problem resolutions.
▪ Provide input on the Construction Programme.
▪ Provide security guidance and develop detailed plans for configuring, testing and upgrading RAN network elements as well as carry out associated hands-on tasks.
▪ Conduct Feature Testing (perform tests, perform test calls, setup test scenarios) of 4G/LTE/VoLTE technologies in lab/field using proper tools and analysing the data accordingly using proper tools.
▪ Work experience resolving RF network issues; performing root-cause analysis and monitoring traffic flows to ensure call delivery optimization using different tools.
▪ Support Testing and Fix verification on Software patches/correction loads.
▪ Responsible for testing the radio performance for the newly integrated sites.
▪ Perform Radio Network Surveys, i.e. visit possible sites in order to judge if they are suitable from a radio network point of view (Hardware & Location).

▪ Evaluate and adapt new methods and technologies regarding Radio Network Optimization, Features, Trials & Tuning.
▪ Review Radio Frequency and/or Radio Access Network (RAN) design.
▪ Provide maintenance and optimization of wireless radio access network communications systems, including radio propagation modelling and received signal prediction utilizing specific planning tools for wireless technologies.
Candidate Profile
▪ Bachelor's degree in telecommunications or computer science or related field.
▪ Several years related work experience on Overall Lab RAN design and network architecture LTE/VoLTE with different infrastructure providers and/or operator.
▪ Solid drive testing experience and post-processing, layer 3 analysis, evaluation of Key Performance Indicators, and proficiency with traffic and mobility management.
▪ Expertise in simulation tools integration and testing including and but not limited to Viavi, IXIA Load, IXIa Multi-US, Spirent LandSlide, Mobile Experience, Mobile Labs, MCellBlock and others.
▪ Strong experience in 3G and 4G technologies (UMTS, HSPA, LTE).
▪ Experience in performance and optimization in one or more Sub-Systems (e.g. 3G/4G RAN, PS Core, IP backbone).
▪ Ability to use the following tools: TCPU, Tems Investigation, Tems Visualization, MOshell, OSS, GPEH, UETR, CTR, BO, MCOM & MapInfo, Actix.
▪ Knowledge on Monitor & analyze the GSM, WCDMA/HSDPA Radio Network.
▪ Have knowledge on IT is a plus.
▪ Able to work effectively with others and have good interpersonal skills.
▪ Speak, read and write English.
