About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to start immediately.
Youll be assigned to our Australian client specializes in manufacturing, supplying and installing commercial products in stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum across a range of industries, including construction, manufacturing, automotive, marine, health, education, and hospitality. Established in 1994, they have 1,000sqm purpose-built fabrication workshop based in New South Wales, and are equipped to manufacture and supply projects and ongoing inventory requirements across Australia.
Youll be part of a dynamic project team in Australia. Your mission is to
Roles and Responsibilities:
Review of contract documents including scope of works, specifications etc at tender stage;
Develop bill of quantities on typically handrail, balustrade, stainless steel, and metal work items;
Develop Excel spreadsheets detailing BOQ and specifications;
Manage multiple tenders at any one time;
Produce tenders Bill of Quantity from AUD$100K to AUD$5 million;
Assisting the General Manager and sales team with day to day estimating and quantity surveying tasks as required

Requirements
Do you have what we are looking for:
Excellent ability to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal;
At least 5+ years experience in in similar role/quantity surveyor with specific experience in construction industry;
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings & building plans;
Experience in preparation of BoQs and able to produce quick estimates;
Advanced skills in MsExcel with ability to construct spreadsheets to suit relevant tenders;
Experience as a virtual assistant working with Australian or US clients is preferred but not essential;
Analytical mind with strong time-management skills, with ability to adapt to new ways of working in a fast-paced environment;
Highly motivated, self-starter and confident;
Able to work independently and confident in recommending creative inputs;
Diligent with high attention to detail but able to think outside the box;
High sense of urgency and speed of delivery, without compromising on quality
