Job Objective :
Ensure optimal productivity and yield of the production lines through process development that guarantees efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Core responsibilities :
Develop optimal process design model by conducting Design of Experiment (DOE) to determine sources of variation and applying advanced Statistical Analysis
Collaborate with Production Engineer and/or Equipment Engineer to validate viability and effectiveness of proposed process improvements
Apply concepts and principles along specialized area (Electrical, Mechanical, Material Science, etc.) and acquired knowledge in the work area to solve non-recurring problems
Establish best configuration of parts to achieve optimal yield
Develop manufacturing processes (Control Plan & Working Stds.) by studying product requirements and initiate revision of documents during changepoint
Conduct initial analysis to reject items involving parts and product design and escalate to Product Engineer for in-depth analysis
Evaluate and analyze production data (i.e. production control charts, reliability, process capability index, etc.) to determine opportunities for improvement in quality
Collaborate with Production Engineer to ensure that approved process improvement initiatives are implemented in all lines (Suheitenkai)
Facilitate Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA) to determine impact of potential failure modes and identify action items to alleviate potential risks
Facilitate, monitor and analyze results of Engineering build and make reports/ recommendations to improve process design, product quality and manufacturability
