About the job Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
The Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will focus on creating and implementing automated tests for web and mobile applications. This involves working closely with the entire project team for all technology branches: Application Development, Solutions, and IT Operations.
The Senior QA Automation Engineer will also be interacting with other departments for production support if needed.
Responsibilities
Implement, optimize, and maintain automation tests on new and existing systems based on product requirements, functional, and design specifications
Collaborate with project team members to define the testing scope and strategize the testing approach
Participate in QA effort estimation, requirements analysis, and test plan review
Report defects found and track defect status
Assist in checking data quality issues and discrepancies in production
Suggest improvements to existing applications
Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and work with the leads in improving the team's process
Help establish Quality Assurance strategies and best practices
Maintain technical documentation and assist in maintaining product documentation
Stay current with industry trends in testing strategies
Adhere to company processes and procedures to enable smooth flow of product development lifecycle
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or a related field
5+ years of experience in software automation testing
Experience with browser automation tools like Selenium and BDD frameworks like Cucumber
Experience with setting up testing frameworks from scratch
Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Solid understanding of software development life cycle including Agile Methodology
Experience with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI)
Knowledgeable in basic SQL queries or scripting
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and debugging skills
Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Open to learning new technologies
Nice to have
Experience with automating and validating products and services that based on microservices architecture
Experience with CI/CD
Experience with AWS
Experience with Docker
Experience with manual testing for web and/or native mobile applications
Familiarity with web application security best practices
