We specialise in pump systems and slurry handling, and are looking for a SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER to join our Cebu team to deliver small design projects.
The ideal candidate will have mining and mineral processing experience, and will offer strong technical leadership.
Typical projects include:
Tailings system design
Dewatering system design
Borefield design
Process plant debottlenecking
Key responsibilities
We are looking for a candidate who can successfully deliver on the following key responsibilities:
Technical leadership: Provide engineering leadership in the design, development, and optimisation of mining and mineral processing projects.
Project coordination: Coordinate multiple design projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
Team collaboration: Work with others in the team to deliver projects.
Risk management: Identify and assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the success of projects.
Continuous improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in the mining and mineral processing industry, and recommend and implement best practices and innovations within the team.
Documentation and reporting: Maintain documentation, and provide regular updates to the team and client.
Business development: Support efforts to develop proposals, tenders and bids.
Mentoring: Guide, mentor, and provide technical training to junior engineers and other team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or similar)
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the mining and mineral processing industry
Proven project experience (15 preferred)
Strong technical knowledge in areas such as metallurgy, mining techniques, mechanical equipment and piping
Proficient with industry-standard software and tools
Excellent grasp of English and strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
