Job Description
Summary
This position conducts work directly related to management or general business operations in an
organization or functional area. The work requires advanced knowledge gained from a prolonged
course of specialized instruction, experience, and expertise. The position includes work requiring the
consistent exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
Scope
This position performs highly complex project accounting activities, reviews client contracts, ensures
accuracy of project activities, and recommends changes in financial procedures. This role has the
responsibility to serve as the Project Business Services (PBS) lead for small and medium-sized projects
and supervise other assigned PBS analysts.
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Understand the Prime Contract commercial terms
• Analyze and apply the activities being performed with respect to engineering and construction
accounting methodology and company practices
• Supervise the required tasks and follow established written procedures and techniques to
accomplish activities
• Participate in the Commercial Alignment Process and preparation of the Integrated Framework
Checklist for the Project Business Plan and Project Integrated Framework Alignment meetings
• Review and analyze project financial performance and assist project management in
understanding and communicating financial issues and performance
• Set-up and review the project structure in SAP
• Supervise the support, lead, and client invoicing
• Supervise the cost, hours, and billing reconciliation, project close-out, project margin analysis
reporting, cash management, and audit support
• Supervise the labor, expense, and expat monitoring and reporting
• Perform reconciliations including investigation and rationale for variances
• Provide regular guidance and training to technicians and lesser-experienced analysts and give
performance appraisals for assigned analysts
• Understand the profit drivers on projects
• Apply discretion and evaluation capabilities
• Interface with other groups inside and outside the organization, senior management, other
locations, clients, and auditors
• Analyze foreign exchange transactions and accounting matters for projects executed across
multiple geographies
• Understand local statutory and tax requirements impacting project execution
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying
complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
• Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely
manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
• Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff
• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
• Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
• Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
• May need to travel to attend to business related matters
• Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements
• Accountancy Graduate with experience in General Accounting, Project Accounting, and/or any relevant Accounting functions
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Preferred Qualifications
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in business/finance preferred, or equivalent business experience in an Engineering and Construction environment
• Five (5) years of related Project Business Service (PBS)/project experience
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good leadership and decision-making skills
• Possess knowledge of international payroll and expatriate policies
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of personal computer-based business applications
• Demonstrated ability as a power user of Fluor's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) applications
