We have a number of exciting new SaaS projects that are in the early stages of development.
We are looking for a person with deep object-oriented programming knowledge in modern PHP to help lead one of the projects.
You will likely be working with one or two other remote intermediate-level programmers - writing your own code, but also offering code design suggestions to other members of the team, and reviewing their pull requests to ensure code quality across the project.
You will have significant input into the architecture of the software - being provided with functional specifications and being expected to design a tidy technical implementation that extends the software to deliver the requested functionality.
We have a strong focus on best practice software development, building maintainable software, and are looking for someone who has a deep understanding of object-oriented programming and test-driven development.
Technologies, environment & approaches:

* Vue.js or Alpine.js for frontend depending on the project
* Automated testing / CICD
* AWS
* Agile / Scrum
Key Requirements:
* Advanced proficiency with PHP
* A deep understanding of object-oriented programming with the ability to design elegant, maintainable solutions to problems
* Ideally strong knowledge of the Laravel framework - or at least PHP frameworks in general
* Strong knowledge of SQL, query design & optimization.
* At least an intermediate level of general database design knowledge.
* Strong experience with automated testing
* Familiarity with Github & associated source control concepts, participating in code reviews.
* Not critical to the role, but experience with Javascript - particularly ES6 and frontend frameworks such as Vue.js is an advantage
* Frontend UI skills is an advantage
* Experience with Node.js and build tools such as Webpack is an advantage
* Can work with minimum supervision and high accuracy work output
* Stable internet connection at home is a MUST
