The Job at a Glance
The Senior Program Operations Manager will oversee all issues and concerns related to adherence to federal, state, and local regulations for healthcare companies, in collaboration with the senior management, and other team leads, and in coordination with our legal advisers. The position will serve as liaison with government agencies and regulators. He or she will spearhead the investigation on compliance violations, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions as necessary
The Senior Operations Program Manager is expected to:
Propose, implement, and administer programs, policies, and programs to ensure the company's
adherence to standards for healthcare organizations.
Conduct audits, monitor, and document potential risks and periodically report deviations from
established standards
Proposes suggestions and implements corrective actions on deviations from agreed standards.
Liaise with federal, state, or local agencies and serve as point of contact for the company for
reporting requirements, making sure they are adhered to and completed in a timely manner
Assist internal and external stakeholders in periodic compliance audits and ad-hoc requests
The ideal candidate should be comfortable with some level of ambiguity - as we are a fast-moving startup operating in an ever-evolving environment. He or she should have excellent analytical, communication and numerical skills to succeed in this role.
Education
Bachelor's degree preferably in accounting, business, economics, or legal studies, and should be generally knowledgeable of US healthcare standards and reporting requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
At least 5-8 years of relevant professional experience.
Demonstrated project management capabilities and experience in setting up systems and
procedures
Familiarity US regulations relevant to the healthcare industry
Be able to maintain and handle sensitive information confidentially
Strong research skills to stay current with pertinent rules and regulations
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision as necessary, and alternately work
cohesively within a team environment.
Possess a positive, enthusiastic and energetic attitude.
Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of
management and external stakeholders.
Detail-oriented and has strong time management skills.
Related certification in a healthcare setting is definitely an advantage.
