Investing in Women
Investing in Women (IW) is a multi-country Australian Government initiative in Southeast Asia that seeks to improve women's economic participation as employees and as entrepreneurs and influence the enabling environment to promote Women's Economic Empowerment (WEE). It commenced in April 2016 with operations in the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and Myanmar and is due to run through to June 2023. It is managed out of the Gender Equality Branch (GEB) of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) in Canberra. The Program is supporting the following outcomes:
More businesses achieve improved gender equality in their workplaces
Intentional impact investments in women's small and medium enterprises (WSMEs) increase
Positive shifts in gender norms related to workplace gender equality

Job Description
Key Duties
Promotes and supports strong linkages between the IW Program and DFAT staff and coordinates information on IW with the Gender Equality Branch (GEB) in DFAT - including:
Ensuring GEB have current and useful information on IW implementation and risks, including the preparation and submission of fortnightly management meeting reports
Ensuring IW is able to respond to all requests and advice from DFAT Canberra, including following up on all meeting action items
Acting as the secretariat to the IW Strategic Advisory Board
Primary responsibility, in collaboration with the IW Leadership Team, for the planning, collation and production of regular DFAT updates and reports, including:
The IW six-monthly Progress Report
Program Annual Plan
Quarterly CEO Newsletter
2-weekly reporting to GEB on activities
Quarterly meetings with each Embassy
Coordinates IW's support for DFAT in undertaking a review of IW and the development of a design for any follow-on activities through developing Terms of References, sourcing consultants etc.
Other tasks as assigned by the CEO
Qualifications
Key Requirements
Tertiary qualifications (or equivalent experience) in social sciences, preferably with a focus on quantitative and qualitative MEL, data collection/research and analysis of data
Ability to present findings clearly and concisely (in writing and verbally) and to target communication to meet the needs of different stakeholder groups and end-users of information
Experience engaging with senior counterparts and stakeholders to coordinate and execute evaluation activities, disseminate findings and build knowledge capacity
Highly competent in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with competency in other software such as SPSS and Strata also desirable
Flexible and a team player, experienced in working effectively with a range of stakeholders. Experience with private sector stakeholders highly desirable
