WSP, a world leading management and consultancy firm, is seeking Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their Building Services - Design team. The fast-paced firm is rapidly expanding, and this is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team of design and drafting experts who will support your growth and development.
Desired skills and experience:
Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering.
At least 7 years' of experience in a similar capacity
Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME) is a plus
Knowledge in Camel program or other HVAC load estimating software
Design HVAC Systems
HVAC design engineers create heating and cooling systems and their controls.
Calculate Heating and Cooling Needs
Make load calculations to determine how much heating and cooling power various equipment must put out in order to heat or cool spaces when needed.
Interpret and Draft Plans
Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints for new construction projects. They also draft new plans to design ductwork and piping systems.
Calculate Ventilation Requirements
Calculate ventilation requirements based on the types of systems needed.
Coordinate with Others
Coordinate and collaborate with architects and engineers when designing heating and cooling systems.
Adhere to All Building Codes
Follow all building codes (and obtain proper building permits when necessary).
Autocad and Revit experience is a plus
