The Sr. Manager for Tax Accounting spearheads the Tax Administration and Compliance Unit regarding tax related activities of the company and its affiliates, with emphasis in tax management and mitigating tax deficiencies resulting to tax assessments.
Success in this role will require you to fulfill the following responsibilities:
Tax Planning and Tax Management
Ensures that tax planning and tax management are directly aligned with the company's business model, and at the same time be able to maximize value generation across all business lines
Resolution and Management of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) audits, assessments, and notices
Provides timely and strategic initiatives in managing and mitigating tax deficiencies and exemplify readiness in providing further expertise should it reach assessment level. Implements process improvement measures in ensuring full tax compliance, while still taking into consideration opportunities for value creation
Financial statement analysis and tax advisory
Provides further assessments, recommendations for requirements and also guarantee consistency of third party audit regarding processes and procedures
Process Improvement
Leads process improvement initiatives within the team in addressing gaps within processes and pave way for increase in efficiency and scale
Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications for this Role:
Graduate of B.S. Accountancy
Must be a Certified Public Accountant
At least seven years of experience working in a tax group of auditing firms or law firms. Must be an experienced people manager.
Has had experience consulting or strategizing with companies in terms of providing options for tax management and addressing regulatory requirements.
Exposure to the Court of Tax Appeals or experience in addressing tax assessment will be a baseline for the role.
Realistic Job Preview: The right profile would be someone who understands the business, and could leverage their knowledge on tax regulations, while being mindful of regulatory compliance requirements.
Expectations from Candidates
Candidates who are invited for HR screening will need to undergo and pass an online exam and/or technical exam, and accomplish HR documents, personality tests, and essay exams before proceeding to the HR interview.
Candidates who pass the HR interview would then need to submit soft copies of their available pre-employment requirements, such as the Transcript of Records, Diploma, and NBI clearance. The complete list will be provided by the recruiter.
