Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for undertaking all production accounting activities, including preparation, review and analysis of financial statements and taxation requirements and deliver associated quality, professional accounting outcomes. The individual in this role will provide high level tax and accounting support to the Manager/Partner.
Job Description:
Deliver on other company group tax, accounting and advisory services as required and/or discussed with the Manager/Partner.
Complete basic to high level complexity tax returns and financial accounts - company, trusts, and partnerships
Complete basic to high level complexity GST, Income Tax, and other Australian Taxes
Applicants must have:
Minimum 3-5 years of Australian Taxation experience or a similar role in the BPO industry
Specializes in Australian Management Accounting and Australian tax returns for companies, trusts, individuals, and partnerships
Proficiency in various accounting software including MYOB & Xero
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or any relevant field, CPA or Chartered Accountant is an advantage
Successful applicants will be those who also have the following qualifications:
Knowledgeable on GST, Income Tax, and other Australian Taxes
Expert in basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
Demonstrated ability to develop and retain effective client relationships
Knowledge of bookkeeping solutions and Microsoft Office i.e. Excel, Outlook
Well-developed interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to mentor/train accountants
Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and prioritize
Very keen attention to detail and high levels of initiative
Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal English business communication skills
