The opportunity:
The main role is to code, test and analyze software programs and applications. You serve as one of the team's subject matter expert and may be asked to perform selected project management tasks. You also assist in preparing low to high level architecture design, provide required documentations and recommend process improvements.
You are great at:
Code software programs and applications according to specifications
Create specialized/customized reports using data analytics services
Provide production support, and troubleshoot cross-component/technology issues in areas of expertise
Provide estimate, design, solution, and integration of the project
Recommend and implement software upgrades, tools, techniques, and other process improvements
Prepare, review and/or approve project software requirements, specifications, and other artifacts (Software Design Document, Entity Relationship Diagram, etc.)
Analyze data from software analysis tools for the purpose of correcting errors, isolating areas for project improvement
Contribute to the following Database tasks: design, develop, and implement optimized database system based on customer requirements; identify any issues related to database performance and provide corrective measures; and create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures, and triggers to support application development projects
What it takes:
You are a graduate of bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with 8 and above years of relevant experience.
You are an expert in implementing (coding & unit testing) detailed design into application functionalities using Java/JEE as the primary development language.
You are proficient and knowledgeable of the following: Framework (Struts 2, Spring, Hibernate, Ibatis, etc.); Data Analytics/Reporting frameworks (BIRT, iHUB, Crystal Reports, Oracle BI reports, etc.); Database using Oracle or MySQL; knowledgeable on PL/SQL; OS Platform (Windows, Unix, Linux); Application Servers (Oracle Weblogic, Apache HTTP Server, Tomcat); JEE Web Services Technologies (JAXB, Java APIs for XML Messaging); Enterprise Design (Object Oriented Design, SOA, Domain Driven, etc.); Other Development Technologies (Ajax, HTML, JQuery, XML, XSL, XSLT, CSS, Javascript, Freemarker, Junit, JSON, Jasper Reports, Shell scripting); Development Tools (Eclipse, Maven, Ant, SVN and GIT)
