Position Summary:
The Senior IT Product Owner helps shape and drive the strategy of digital products for the Food and Beverage team. This position collaborates with various business, technology, and operations team members to collect, analyze, and synthesize requirements into product specifications and definitions.
They also translate direction into requirement documents, mind maps, user stories, and product specifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prioritize the feature requirements and user stories developed into an agile backlog, managing the requirements throughout the agile development lifecycle
Manage the feature development and defect backlog of the broad development team daily to ensure priorities adhere to the product strategy
Ensure the execution of creative assets developed in support of a feature, such as the visual design, content strategy, and copywriting, adhere to the product vision and direction
Attend daily scrums with development studios to help drive priority decisions and remove roadblocks
Support multiple cross-functional teams/development studios to ensure a solid understanding of the defined scope
Effectively communicate changes in direction or priority shifts to cross-functional teams
Provide frequent communication to product leaders on development progress, escalating any issues that could impact the budget, timeline, or strategic vision
Partner with various departments to build and manage scope expectations (Pricing, Revenue Management, Marketing, Sales, Park Operations, etc.)
Collaborate across the product team to ensure a seamless experience for guests and employees across all touchpoints
Provide indirect leadership over Product Analysts (full-time/vendor/contractor) to help oversee day-to-day progress
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field (MBA preferred)
4 years of Technical Product Owner experience (Scrum Product Owner preferred)
Experience with Agile software development methodology and collaboration tools (JIRA/Confluence or similar)
Exceptional communication, organizational, and project leadership skills
Experience resolving technical, end-user, and business issues in a fast-moving organization
Experience designing digital experiences in mobile/web-based systems
Experience digital product development or requirements development for software solutions preferred
Online travel industry and tourism knowledge preferred
Well-rounded point of view on user experience design to resolve complex issues
Ability to effectively lead, work with, and support multi-track teams while delivering quality results on time
Proven analytical skills and experience successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously
