Job Description:
Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems. In large companies, this requires understanding a global or multi-office network infrastructure.
Helps develop, document, communicate, and enforce a network technology policy.
Is responsible for the installation and configuration of new software and hardware, including the server network, devices and firewalls.
Is responsible for monitoring system performance, IT system operations and storage utilization.
Plans ahead for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth.
Manages user accounts and assets, and assigns and updates security permissions on the network according to security policy.
Ensure the rigorous application of information security assurance policies, principles and practices in the delivery of system administration services.
Provides support with escalated help desk requests.
Leads a team of systems administrators, coordinates with different departments.
Mentors team members and educates users.
Job Qualification:
Knowledge of Dynamic Routing protocols preferred if BGP (CCNA would be an advantage)
SD-WAN knowledge
Knowledge of multi location site-2-site VPN
Knowledge of Cisco ASA firewalls
Linux Administration, DNS, Web Server, Mysql
Good understanding of scripting languages bash or Python
Good Understanding of Layer-2 network protocols, VLAN, STP, trunking etc.
Good understanding of ITIL/ITSM
Active directory and Access management
Network and System Security
Good knowledge of Infrastructure monitoring technologies like PRTC, MRTG, Cacti and Manage Engine.
Understanding of VoIP Technologies
Understanding of Virtualization concepts like Citrix and VMWare
Experience:
Senior IT Engineer: 3 years (Preferred)
Education:
Bachelor's (Required)
