The role is a qualified accountant role, with experience in Payroll, AP, AR, General Ledger, and Taxation matters that can perform reporting, variance analysis, forecasting and managing an external payroll provider. You must possess strong excel skills, good communication skills, written and verbal, proficient in English (as this person will be required to also participate in meetings with Australian team).
Key Responsibilities;
Daily accounting transactions
Managing inputs and outputs to Payroll provider
Working closely with Finance and HR departments
Monthly and yearly closing of accounts
Tax filing and payment
Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare journals for month-end (leave accruals, prepayments, rent etc.)
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills;
Must possess at least a bachelor's degree in Accountancy
Must possess at least 5-year experience in general accounting.
Big 4 accounting firm experience is an advantage.
Experience using an accounting system is essential (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle or Netsuite)
CPA is an advantage.
Highly analytical and can work under minimal supervision
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and formula creation are essential. (e.g., vlookup and pivot tables)
Good technical knowledge and practical experience of transactional accounting
