Opportunity Description:
 
We are looking for a Full-stack JavaScript/PHP contract-to-hire to join our team on several projects. Buink is a cutting-edge, remote-only dev shop with a focus on clean, well-written code. You'll build front-end and back-end features for clients large and small in a variety of industries. The work is never dull! You will work with both front-end and back-end web developers to build both client-side and server-side logic. You will also bridge the gap between the visual elements and the server-side infrastructure, taking an active role on both sides, and defining how the application looks and functions.

Responsibilities:
Implement features to drive business goals and meet client requirements with maintainable, intelligent code.
Develop new user-facing features and API endpoints.
Design feature architecture from the back-end to the front-end, ensuring seamless user experiences.
Write thoughtful front-end code that looks and feels identical to designs provided
Innovate simple solutions for complex business problems.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
Lead and participate in code reviews to maintain a high standard of code quality and knowledge dissemination within the team.
Write thoughtful code in PHP including api endpoints, controllers, services, and model.
Integrate with third party apis.  
Build data structures and models in both MySQL and NoSQL databases.
Developer requirements and qualifications:
Ability to write self-documented, clean code well and teach others to do the same.
Ability to communicate complex ideas freely and clearly in English
Ability to implement solutions that are thoughtfully structured and readable.
Understanding cost effective code.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and autonomous environment.
EXPERT level Javascript experience! Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds.
Strong understanding of JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as Vue.
EXPERT level PHP experience!
Good understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS.
Good understanding of object oriented programming.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT.
Ability to think critically about requirements and implement solutions in an intelligent way.
