Job Description:
Working alongside a mature team of 5 x frontend developers building on top of Shopify
Building rich content experiences based on provided designs from an internal UI/UX team
Working with project managers on building new revenue creating features and functionality
Building with clean modular code that is light on libraries and heavy with functionality
Comfortable working with Javascript, Ajax, HTML, CSS
Extra points awarded for any experience with React or Node
Understanding what pixel perfect means and can demonstrate a good ability to test across the various desktop and mobile device types
Someone who is proud of their work and is excited to share and train other teeam members.
Experience working with major CMS platforms like Shopify, Wordpress, Magento, Drupal are all very welcome
Confident building pixel-perfect interfaces from Figma / PSD / Sketch designs.
Responsibilities:
Designing / developing websites (Shopify) stores from the ground up or building on top of existing code and functionality
Managing workload inside Jira and paying attention to careful commits into our internal code repository tool (Bit Bucket)
Working alongside Project Managers and UI./UX designers to understand scope, provide estimates and meet deadlines
Learning new systems and architecture types. Plenty of hands on work with parsin JSON, rendering outputs and working with many bespoke REST APIs via AJAX
Self test work before going to QA, make sure you totally understand the brief and the various scenarios for testing
Code review your own and your peers work for support and mentoring, provide advice where needed using your experience and foresight
REQUIREMENTS:
You'll need to be an expert with 5 years' experience and knowledge in these areas:
Working with Design Tools such as Sketch / Figma / Photoshop / XD
Javascript ES6 (Vanila or React)
HTML5
CSS3
jQuery (Only where needed)
AJAX
