The Firmware Development Engineer is responsible for providing high quality embedded code or firmware running on different devices. He/ She will be involved in the design and development of firmware for our next generation of products. He/ She will provide solutions or algorithms in solving some of the challenging requirements in the world of embedded software.
Qualifications:
·BS or MS in Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering
·At least 2 years of relevant work experience
·Proficiency in the whole software development life cycle (SDLC)
·Programming experience in C (C++ is a plus) in the field of embedded programming
·Knowledge of assembly language programming
·Experience working and interfacing with the different communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, LIN, etc. and other microcontroller peripherals such as ADCs, DACs, timers, PWMs and GPIO
·Experience using different electronics laboratory equipment such as scopes, analyzers, signal generator, JTAG/ICE debuggers, etc.
·Experience using different IDE and software versioning tools
·Hands on experience performing unit testing, firmware verification and system testing
·Familiarity with some of the coding standard and guidelines e.g. MISRA C
·Experience on using Real Time OS preferred
·Test Driven Development experience a plus
·Familiarity and experience on the different software development methodologies, e.g. Agile, Waterfall, V-model
