The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing business performance analysis, reporting, and forecasting. Also responsible for providing a variety of financial data and maintaining and updating financial models and plans and provide ad hoc analysis for the organization, budgeting, long-term strategic planning and resource allocation processes.
As a Senior Financial Analyst, a Typical Day Might Include the Following
Financial planning and budgeting - you will be primarily responsible for creating and updating financial forecasts. Additionally, you will be a point of contact for financial modeling, budgeting, and business planning.
Reporting and analysis - help create meaningful ad-hoc and standard reports and refine existing ones. Each month, you will also analyze actuals and compare to the forecast/budgets. Analyzes and communicates weekly metrics, monthly results, and variance analysis, quarterly and annual projections.
Special Projects - you will need to be agile as new projects, initiatives, and opportunities present themselves. Projects give you the opportunity to grow and become involved in things that go beyond your traditional analyst roles.
Modeling - you will build models (some sophisticated, some simple) from scratch and improve existing models. Creativity and new ideas are welcome here.
Data analysis - the business will look to you to help understand, analyze, and draw conclusions from data to assist in decision making.
To Land This Gig You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or any related discipline preferred
Minimum 5 years of relevant FP&A experience
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Demonstrated knowledge of financial analysis and modeling
Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects and deadlines
Ability to effectively prioritize workload and manage changes in direction of the company
Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management to maximize performance
Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction
Confidence to liaise and present to Senior Management
Desire to work in a matrixed environment
Accuracy and attention to detai
Bonus Experience:
Intermediate skill level in MS Office applications
Experience/knowledge with billing system, preferably with cadebill
Experience with Power BI, BizDoc, and Oracle
Prior Technology industry experience
