Job Description
Primary Purpose of Position:
The Senior Financial Accountant will provide assistance in month-end closing, general ledger reconciliations, audits, financial reporting requirements, ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and compliance with the regulatory bodies.
Key Accountabilities:
Monitoring all financial transactions for the Philippine entities.
Provide finance-related support to the Philippines Operations Leader.
Provide guidance to the accountants of Manila Finance Team.
Review balance sheet reconciliations.
Review weekly payment approvals for Head Office, monthly cash flow report and variance analysis.
Prepare monthly management reporting and analysis for local management and Global Head Office.
Monitor the Accounts Payable to ensure appropriate coding, timing, and accurate payment of supplier invoices.
Review weekly payments of supplier invoices and other employee-related payments and reimbursements.
Ensure that all transactions are properly substantiated with valid supporting documents.
Perform month-end and year-end close processes within expected timeframes.
Assist in the completion of annual budget and forecast, including cost allocations of Manila overheads and calculate all-in charge out rates,
Prepare and analyse financial reports.
Prepare intercompany invoices for monthly recharges to APAC and AME division.
Ensure accuracy of payroll and oversee payroll function.
Ensure compliance with the requirements of regulatory bodies.
Deal with intercompany affiliates.
Deal with banks, internal and external auditors, etc.
Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
Undertake other duties as required.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), preferred.
At least 5 years finance experience.
Strong attention to details.
Strong analytical skills and problem solving.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organisation and time management skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
