The position is responsible for the overall management of the Finance Department such as daily accounting routines, funding and payment activities, and procurement. The role is in-charge in the provision, analysis, and maintenance of accurate and relevant financial data, compliance to financial recording of information in accordance with regulatory requirements, development and maintenance of internal controls, ensure sufficiency of funds, timely settlement of obligations and expenses, development of financial policies and procedures, and implementation of cost savings and other financial measures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Accounting·
Assists with the annual audit of financial statements.·
Issue and present management reports and financial statements.·
File information with Securities and Exchange Commission and other oversee regulatory compliance.·
Management budgeting process and monitor fund.·
Implement operational best practices for accounting related activities·
Conduct and provide financial analysis·
Review internal controls and provide safeguards for weaknesses.·
Monitor on time payment of payable and expenses within the terms and ensure discounts availed.·
Monitor prompt issuance of billings and ensure on time and correct collections of accounts receivable.·
Calculate and monitor job cost to ensure·
Monitor, review, and complete bank and account reconciliation.·
Develop and maintain policies and procedures, ensure proper implementation, and conduct review and revisions as necessary.·
Maintain chart of accounts and ensure the proper application in accordance with the provisions of PAS/PFRS. ·
Manage and oversee finance operations - accounting, treasury, and procurement activities and transactions including performance measurements and imposition of discipline.
B. Finance·
Determine and issue credit request to customers and monitor credit standing.
Monitor cash balances and ensure sufficiency of funds to cover funding requirements.·
Ensure the settlement of purchases and services within payment terms.·
Analyze financial transactions and conduct gap analysis.
C. Internal Audit·
Identify and assess areas of significant business risk.·
Implement best audit and business practices in line with applicable internal audit statements.·
Manage resources and audit assignments.·
Identify and reduce all business and financial risks through effective implementation and monitoring of controls.·
Develop, implement and maintain internal audit policies and procedures in accordance with local and international best practice.·
Compile and implement the annual Internal Audit plan.·
Conduct ad hoc investigations into identified or reported risks.·
Oversee risk-based audits covering operational and financial processes.·
Ensure complete, accurate and timely audit information is reported to Management and/or Risk Committees.·
Overall supervision of planned annual audits.
D. Budget & Planning·
Design effective budget model for the departments, projects, and the entire company.·
Analyze financial information such as revenues, expenditures, and cash management to ensure operations are within the budget·
Review budget requests and recommend changes prior to approval.·
Forecast future budget requirements and assist in strategic planning process.·
Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted financial operations.·
Recommend cost cutting measures and spending improvements to increase profitability.·
Review spending to meet legal requirements as necessary.·
Ensure that departments and projects are informed of the spent amount.·
Coordinate with Accounting personnel and other departments for financial information.·
Collate and review bank requirements, interest rates, loan options, and recommend financing strategies.·
Determine and evaluate working capital requirements and conduct data analysis.·
Establish sound financial measure to minimize cost and maximize profits.·
Preparation summaries and schedules necessary for the proper understanding of the transactions.·
Coordinate with other departments, business units, and projects for any concerns or issues on budget related items.·
