Job Overview/Summary
The Senior Finance Manager Korea will be responsible for providing financial leadership for the Korea business and be the finance partner on the Korea Leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Act as commercial finance lead for Korea Performance Management Unit (PMU)
Lead long term strategic planning process including developing 3 Year Long Range Plans for the PMU with cross functional team,
Lead the short term planning and forecasting cycles including execution, analysis and reporting of all relevant financial planning scenarios (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and Economic Profit) to Asia SBU and International Division
Develop and asses opportunities in Korea including New Product Development and expansion into other channels or adjacent categories.
Displays judgment to understand the risks and opportunities and make recommendations for change to deliver financial commitments
Prepares International financial reporting & planning packages as required for both forecasting and month end processes
Develop management reporting that drives actions and is delivered in a timely manner
Own the month, quarter and year end process for the Korea PMU
Own financial control for the PMU by working with our HK accounting team to ensure accounts are in line with local and company finance policies
Ensure internal month end timelines and deliverables are met
Ensure internal control framework is robust
Responsible for Clorox accounting for Korea JV 5% - checking the JV's accounting, JV will send forecast month -end checking only,variance explain
Play an active role on the Asia Finance leadership team
Work with other finance leaders in Asia to help develop common practices to drive efficiencies and eliminate waste/non value add activities
Set long term finance strategy including development of robust succession planning
Key Skills, Abilities and Experience Required
Minimum 5 (to 10+) years post qualification experience
Experience of financial and management accounting responsibilities
Focus on management reporting and planning and forecasting.
Experience in a large FMCG is highly desirable
Strong drive, International, Collaboration and Influencing skills. Ability to work remotely with personal initiative and a self- starter
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to drive root cause analysis to understand underlying drivers of performance
Advanced MS skills required (excel, word, power point, etc.)
Strong presentation skills required
Excellent collaboration/consultative skills required
Ability to work with different cultures and across different time zones
