This role sits in the APAC shared services team to process and support the recognition of Microsoft fees and rebates, assist in APAC revenue recognition and SOX testing, responsible for APAC bank reconciliations, intercompany accounting, fixed asset accounting. This role requires thorough understanding of the general ledger accounting, journals, basic accounting concepts, trial balance, P&L and Balance sheet and flow of entries in the general ledger.
What you'll do at Insight
Processing of Microsoft Chip statement monthly. Ensuring accurate loading in SAP, booking, accruals, commission adjustments, true up true down journals
Communicating with the country leaders monthly - chip revenue and any adjustments or deal shifts required and processing those
Liaising with AR/AP teams on monthly settlements relating to chip
Responsible for APAC GST/BAS returns - preparing and submission to country controllers
Responsible for processing APAC deal shifts
Intercompany - Intercompany settlements/clearings and reconciliations
Fixed Assets - responsible for maintaining the APAC fixed asset register - additions/deletions/running depreciation, preparing monthly schedules, liaising with functional leaders to ensure assets in books accurately reflect physical assets
APAC Cash and Bank Recs - Preparing weekly bank reconciliations, communicating outstanding items with AR/AP
Assisting in other rev rec processes - multi element/multiyear/parts audits
Assisting in annual internal and SOX audits and preparing relevant schedules for tax and audit
Responsible for preparing balance sheet reconciliations for the area of responsibilities
Preparing and posting journals as may be required
Take on additional work as may be required
Backup other areas of Finance from time to time as required - This role will be a backup for designated areas in Finance
What you'll need to join Insight
CPA/CA equivalent qualification
Minimum 5 - 7 years' experience in General Ledger accounting
Experience in US GAAP desirable
Hyperion/Essbase knowledge and experience -essential - 3-5 years
SAP Experience necessary
Advanced User of MS Excel
Minimum 7 years' experience in a Financial Accounting role with relevant experience
Experienced working in a multinational environment and handled multiple entities
Strong communication skills (verbal/written)
