BASIC FUNCTION
Position Overview
Experienced senior accountant, skilled in managing monthly /quarterly/annual accounting close, P&L reviews, balance sheet recs, journals, assist in preparation and review of tax and stat accounts, monthly sales report review and adjustments, US GAAP and IFRS knowledge and reporting, internal and external audits, and cash flow management
We are looking for a seasoned senior accounting specialist, who is proficient in the above, can work independently, can handle complex tasks with ease, can problem solve, has excellent communications skill.
SAP and Hyperion experience will be an added advantage. This position sits within a shared services General ledger team based in Manilla.
What you'll do at Insight
Month end responsibilities various other month end / quarter end activities to ensure timely and accurate closure of month end/quarter end in accordance with various USGAAP /SOX requirements
Responsible for all aspects of accounting for APAC entities- including and not limited to accuracy of P&L, balance sheet rec prep and review, journal postings, assisting in prep and filing of statutory accounts, tax returns, GST returns, other regulatory obligations, dealing with external lawyers for local filings, matters, dealing with external accountants and tax agents
Inventory Accounting and reconciliations for APAC
Preparing and analysing monthly sales analysis, liaising with sales managers to solve errors, post adjustments Australian entity
Review and process T&E accruals
Monthly Intercompany reconciliations
Auditing Vendor bank account changes
Posting various monthly journals for APAC entities
Rebate Reconciliation for APAC entities
Updating draft P&L's to be sent out to P&L owners
Preparing various balance sheet reconciliations for APAC
Supporting the Services team leader based in Australia with monthly service accruals
Supporting the ANZ, SG and HK team leaders to accurately and timely close those entities every month
Assisting in preparation and submissions of local tax files, Tax returns, statutory accounts, various other statutory and regulatory obligations
Take on additional work as may be required
Backup for other finance tasks
What you'll need to join Insight
CPA/CA equivalent qualification
Minimum 5 - 6 years' experience in an SAP environment
Hyperion/Essbase knowledge and experience -essential - 3-5 years
Manages high level of complexity
SAP Experience necessary
Advanced User of MS Excel
Attention to details and accuracy
Strong communication skills (verbal/written)
Minimum 6 years' experience in a Financial Accounting role within a commercial firm with relevant accounting experience per main duties and responsibilities above
Experienced working in a multinational environment and handled multiple entities
Planning and organizing skills
