Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with internal and external groups for a speedy development of slider processes (lapping, grinding, wirebonding, etc)
Actively participates in regular technology exchanges with worldwide development group
Conduct timely process qualifications and improvement as required by new products
Initiate process evaluations and DOE's for continuous improvement to support company objectives on cost and quality.
Work with manufacturing engineering group for successful ramp of new technologies
Document and conduct technical reviews and handshake with manufacturing engineering group
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in related field e.g. engineering [ME, EE, ECE], materials, physics
Minimum 1 year of recent experience working in machining area (lapping, grinding)
Skill in data analytics using statistical tools (JMP, Minitab) and Microsoft office (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
PREFERRED:
With background and experience in lapping, grinding and wirebonding processes
SKILLS:
Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and relational skills, with the ability to quickly develop relationships of trust and confidence with a variety of people and personalities, at all levels within an organization
Self-motivated with the ability to effectively multi-task and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment
Ability to make clear, logical decisions based on facts, taking into consideration the big picture, long and short term effects, and exercising sound judgment.
Demonstrated ability to deliver consistent positive results through coordination with other engineering groups
