About the Role
We are looking for an experienced SEnior Draftsperson to start immediately.
Youll be assigned to our Australian client specializes in manufacturing, supplying and installing commercial products in stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum across a range of industries, including construction, manufacturing, automotive, marine, health, education, and hospitality. Established in 1994, they have 1,000sqm purpose-built fabrication workshop based in New South Wales, and are equipped to manufacture and supply projects and ongoing inventory requirements across Australia.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Developing architectural designs (Particularly Handrail, Balustrade, Stainless steel pipework, stainless steel kitchen benches other sheet metalwork) into something achievable by taking clients ideas and combining them with your skills and experience in the construction sector;
Produce drawings of a very high standard for ease of interpretation by architects, clients;
Produce shop drawings for manufacturing consumption. These drawings are detailed to be reproduced faithfully by our skilled fabrication teams and suppliers;
Produce dwg / dxf files for laser cutting machine;
Produce installation drawings that are clear and concise with only the truly relevant detail for the purposes of installation;
Develop a sense of ownership of a project and feel integral to its success;
Produce "as built" drawings, pursue consultants and suppliers for their product documentation for the purposes of producing Warranty Documents and Operation & Maintenance Manuals.

Requirements
Do you have what we are looking for:
Excellent ability to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal;
At least 5+ years experience within the construction industry, commercial construction will be highly desirable;
Strong experience in AutoCAD and Autodesk inventor, other drawings skills will be highly advantageous;
Fully conversant with Microsoft Office Suite;
Experience as a virtual assistant working with Australian or US clients is preferred but not essential;
Analytical mind with strong time-management skills, with ability to adapt to new ways of working in a fast-paced environment;
Highly motivated, self-starter and confident;
Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision;
Impeccable attention to detail, problem solving ability and initiative driven;
High sense of urgency and speed of delivery, without compromising on quality; and
A fascination with balustrades and sheet metal work will be great!
