Job Description Abstracts the complexity of a system into a manageable model that describes the essence of a system by exposing important details and significant constraints. Works closely with executives and other departments to explain the benefits and justify the investment in software architecture of a solution by participating in process re-engineering activities, by using Cost-Benefit Analysis or by measuring the level of component / architecture re-use between projects in order to deliver results that are meaningful to the projects and have an impact on the bottom line. Inspires, mentors, and encourages colleagues to apply intelligently customized industry's best practices. Specifically, the stakeholders must be able to understand, evaluate, and reason about software architecture Fights entropy that threatens architect's structural approach to problem solving. Convinces all relevant stakeholders that the chosen approach is sound - moreover the chosen architectural solution must be well explained and justified. The benefits of implementing a system in a particular way must be explained not only in terms of "that's the right pattern for this problem," but also to demonstrate the measurable benefits - such as easier integration. Act as an agent of change in organizations where process maturity is not sufficient for creating and maintaining architecture centric development. Maintains control over the architecture lifecycle parallel to the project's software development lifecycle and proactively monitor the adherence of the implementation to the chosen architecture during all iterations. Stays on course in line with the long term vision of the platform. Must focus on actions that produce results early while staying on course for the long term and is able to adjust strategy given the resources available while maintaining long-term goal. Work Experience At least 5 years work experience preferably in Telco, IT, and project implementation and support At least 5 years experience in software development Level of Knowledge Advanced level in data modeling, application frameworks, systems integration techniques, enterprise integration patterns, networking concepts, and cloud-native application development Knowledgeable on the following DevOps, Backend, and Cloud Technologies: Programming Languages - Java, Python, NodeJS API - REST, SOAP, GraphQL, gRPC, Web Services Containerization - Docker, Kubernetes, PKS, AWS ECS / Fargate DB/DB Caching - Redis, Amazon Aurora, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Memcache, Apache Cassandra Microservices / Serverless / Event-Driven Architecture Knowledgeable in one or more SDLC Models (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum etc.) Competencies Core Competencies Customer First Market Driven Innovation Collaborative Teamwork Decision Making and Accountability Results Orientation Inspiring Self In charge of the technical part of the project, as well as of sprint planning in terms of software/product development. Connect departments and coordinate development. Regardless of the aspect of project delivery, the development lead should ensure that everyone is headed in the right direction, at matching speeds, with the same target in mind. Assist the Product Manager and/or client with planning by providing technical insight. Know every developer working on the project; their skills, needs, exact responsibilities and what they both like and don't like to do. This is incredibly useful info when choosing the right fit for a task and setting deadlines. Possess basic knowledge about every technology/platform. Continue contributing to the codebase of the project. This means actively coding, providing input and feedback and staying up-to-date in his/her field. Communicate with the team, ensuring everyone is involved in sprint planning and is clear in regards to all short- and long-term goals. Concise communication. Should be able to get to the point while remaining comprehensive and clear. Organize and properly utilize stand-ups. Be perceptive. This stems from experience with the work, team/development processes, and the team. It's important to notice signs of oncoming frustration-and to find fast solutions. Action-oriented.
