JOB PURPOSE:
Participates or takes charge in the preparation of high-level and detailed solution/technical design specifications from which systems will be developed or software packages will be procured to meet business objectives.
Performs systems design work;
Prepares system specifications;
Competent to handle a variety of assignments including UML modeling, coding, unit testing and debugging, documenting, and implementing information systems;
Conducts and implements knowledge transfer activities; and
Mentor team members on the use and application of technology assets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Decompose high-level business and user requirements into technical design requirements, specified in an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by the team.
Work closely with developers and a variety of end-users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
Define quality attributes, external interfaces, constraints, and other non-functional requirements.
Elaborate technical requirements using alternative views, such as analysis models (diagrams), prototypes, or scenarios, where appropriate and propose new solution features and updates where appropriate.
Lead technical requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable and that they conform to standards.
Participate in requirements prioritization.
Assist in managing requirements traceability information and track requirements status throughout the project.
Participate in the implementation of the new system/solution.
Allocates workload to team members
Implement ways to design and build reusable components across systems.
Identify ways to assist project management in project planning through technical requirements development, estimation, and analysis.

 RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned above at the required level
At least three (3) years experience as senior developer role;
At least five (5) years experience in architecture, design, and development of integrated systems
Must have experience using UML to document system design
Must be conversant with systems development lifecycle and project management methodologies
Must have proven experience in developing RESTful web services, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, XML, CSS, XSL, XSL-FO
Must be able to relate to large information-based organizations and comfortable dealing with senior executives from a variety of cultures
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Must have extensive experience in Java programming language, frameworks (Spring/ADF/OAF), and use of IDEs
Proficiency with SQL, Oracle, and other relational databases, and multi-tiered application concepts
Well-developed knowledge and understanding of relevant business administration, operational policies relevant work program and concepts, procedures, and practices
Proven ability to conduct independent research by analyzing relationships among several parts of a problem or situation; breaking down a complex task into manageable parts in a systematic way, recognizing several likely causes of events, or several consequences of actions, and generally anticipate obstacles and thinks ahead about next steps
Must have training and experience in Agile e.g. Scrum
Must have experience working in multiple teams having a team size of 6 or more
Experience with Oracle Application Framework (OAF) is preferred.
Share
