As a Senior Database Engineer you will be responsible for enterprise OLTP systems at Dynata. We are looking for a new member of our Database Engineering team to assist with providing highly available, performant and secure systems for our software and operational engineering teams. You will work closely with engineers from many teams to diagnose performance issues and implement improvements for existing services or processes.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Work with product teams to create, monitor and optimize their data infrastructure.
Assist with new processes and tools for maintaining Dynata's database infrastructure
Maintain Highly Available Database systems in private data centers or AWS.
REQUIREMENTS:
5 years of experience with MySQL database management systems
Experience working with large data sets in low latency environments.
Experience in running and maintaining a 24 X 7 production database environment.
Strong procedural SQL skills
Must be familiar with Linux/Unix operating systems
Must be able to automate database tasks with scripting tools, e.g. BASH, Python
Experience in successful db design, schema design and performance tuning.
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide urgent support for performance issues in a timely manner.
MSSQL or PostgreSQL Experience is a plus
