THE ROLE
Temenos SaaS Delivery is a division of Temenos that brings together many business units within Temenos to provide a holistic end-to-end delivery model for delivering front and back-office banking solutions hosted in the Cloud.
Reporting to the Architecture/Engineering Team Lead, Senior Database Administrators are responsible for supporting and delivering database-related requirements for new implementations and production customers.
OPPORTUNITIES
You will assist implementation projects to deliver activities and requirements related to the database layer
You will provide assistance to the support teams for database-related issues or requirements relating to production customers
You will be responsible for effective and timely cloud solution design, implementation and testing at the database layer
You will set accurate expectations for delivery quality/timelines and adhere to them
You will engage with the broader team to build relationships, knowledge, and collaboration
You will grow experience and knowledge in the suite of Temenos products
You will implement and stay abreast of Cloud and DevOps industry best practices and tooling as they relate to database provisioning, configuration management and administration
REQUIREMENTS
You should have 5+ years experience in Microsoft SQL Server database administration, and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
You should have 3+ years experience with database performance tuning and optimisation
You should have 3+ years experience with backups, restores and recovery models
You should have 3+ years experience in High Availability and Disaster Recovery for Microsoft SQL Server
You should have 3+ years of experience with Windows server, including Active Directory
You should have experience in SQL Coding knowledge - write SQL code with good knowledge of SQL queries and stored procedures
You should have experience with developing and maintaining automation, ETL and SQL jobs
You should have experience in storage, logging, auditing across both public and private cloud database layer
You should have experience in private and public cloud architecture, networking principles, devops
You should have strong understanding of TDR, TDE, data encryption and decryption technologies.
You should have a good sense of ownership and come across as a likeable and trustworthy professional.
You are a strong team player and embraces dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
You should be able to analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time using critical thinking and problem-solving skills
You should be able to refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
