The Senior DBA will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of FWDPH databases and guarantee the data is stored securely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Install, design and maintain database system software and implement database security. Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems. Monitor and analyze database performance and ensure effective and efficient utilization of database systems/processes. Provide technical leadership on database systems and solutions. Provide individual mentoring and training on databases and tools. Recommend, test, and evaluate new technologies, software tools, and required skill sets recommend and implement improvements. Implement a Business Continuity solution for the database environment, including the installation and configuration of database software and replication processes. Perform Database maintenance Backup/Restore Performance monitoring and tuning Security and Compliance maintenance May require to create transact sql scripts and other data integration tasks for day to day operational support. Provide technical support such as troubleshooting and deployments. Requirements: BS degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience. M icrosoft C ertified D ata b ase A dministrator (MCDBA) preferred At least five years of SQL server database experience as Database Administrator (DBA), including experience installing, configuring, designing, patching, archiving, and monitoring to include performance tuning databases with indexing.
