Job Description
The Benchmark Content Quality team responds to internal data quality failures and external data quality inquiries about benchmark content used across performance, risk management, compliance, research, and client reporting workflows. Our team is dedicated to innovation and to providing best-in-class support for our continually growing user base. We focus on third party index datasets sourced from over a hundred index providers including Bloomberg, S&P Dow Jones, FTSE Russell, MSCI, IHS Markit, NASDAQ, Euronext, and many others. We also offer a service of data enrichment through our FactSet Market Aggregates (FMA) offering that combines benchmarks with other datasets such as fundamental and estimates.
On a daily basis, we work closely with our Content Collection and Content Integration Engineering counterparts to support new and existing content and develop new ways of testing data - all with a focus on usability and accuracy. The Senior Content Quality Analyst is responsible for quality analysis and quality control areas of development including such tasks as troubleshooting, testing, and documentation. This role may also fulfill an extension of managerial responsibilities and will provide mentorship to junior members of the team.
Responsibilities
Develops an understanding of FactSet's data quality standards and workflows for specific product/content area.
Contributes to remediating topics around index methodology including root cause analysis and providing background examination, troubleshooting, and testing.
Correspond with 3rd party data suppliers to query data quality issues found through our daily QA testing methods.
Contributes to ad-hoc projects.
Effectively communicates data quality fixes with appropriate content teams and follows through until resolution.
Makes recommendations for addressing identified data quality deficiencies and improving on and expanding our current data quality footprint.
Requirements
Has an undergraduate degree in an area such as mathematics, business, finance, accounting, economics, computer science or equivalent
Ability to complete daily tasks or projects in a timely and accurate manner
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working with large data sets
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the current QA process
