Job Title: Senior Cloud Software Developer

About the Role: Sterling is looking for software developers with an interest in DevOps to help set standards, tooling, security guardrails and implement new systems and platform services in the AWS Cloud and beyond. We are seeking individuals with deep experience as an engineer delivering stable and secure software to production environments. You will be working in multiple clouds and systems while building strong collaborative relationships with our engineering teams. It is expected that you have strong expertise in a handful of programming languages, networking concepts, database technologies, and have extensive experience with deploying solutions to AWS or Azure.
This Is What You'll Do:
Help govern and maintain our various SaaS environments and multiple AWS accounts.
Help develop and implement security guardrails with AWS Control Tower, AWS Config, CloudSploit or CloudCustodian.
Design and implement highly available infrastructures in AWS and Azure.
Design and develop the HA infrastructure using repeatable configuration as code in Cloudformation or Terraform.
Design and evangelize immutable deployable infrastructure and software packages to be hosted in ECS or Lambda.
Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and perform occasional after hours support.

This Is What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is desired
7-10 years of experience working in an Agile, Software development and DevOps process environment
Strong expertise in at least 2 of these languages: C#, JVM dialects, JavaScript/NodeJS, Python.
Extensive experience with AWS or Azure services required.
Specific experience with AWS Organizations, AWS Control Tower, AWS Config, AWS EC2, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, Aurora, and CloudFormation.
Extensive experience in designing and implementing highly available systems and infrastructure configurations in AWS.
Some experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines desired.
