Roles and Responsibilities
The Cloud Engineering Team is responsible for all aspects of our cloud-based infrastructure and a number of associated services. Our Cloud Engineers are expected to work closely with members of the development team and product management in a multi-cloud environment to ensure our systems are kept online.
Cloud Engineers are responsible for the creation, management and termination of cloud-based services, several core software components, and the CI/CD pipeline.
Initially, Cloud Engineers will work with one or two development teams. As the cloud adoption improves and the technical team grows a Cloud Engineer will work as a member of a single team and report to a Cloud Engineer Tech Lead
Required Experience
- Experience with cloud service providers (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Understanding and use of event-driven architecture
- Understanding of microservices
- Exposure to JWT based authentication
- Management of CI/CD pipelines
- Use and configuration of monitoring and alerting systems
- Coding skills (language agnostic)
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of 4-year course in IT

Proficient with
- Azure
- AWS
- GCP
Experience Advantage
- Use and management of Azure (especially ARM templates)
- Use and management AWS and/or GCP
- Breaking a monolith to microservices
- Set-up and administration of multi-cloud for redundancy
- Implementation and customisation of JWT based authentication
- Implementation and management of CI/CD pipelines
- Implemented serverless functions
- Implemented, integrated with, and managed PagerDuty
- Integrated monitoring solutions with StatusPage.io and/or Grafana
