Your Responsibilities
Reference Data at RepRisk covers security (ISIN, SEDOL etc.) and company (DUNS, LEI etc.) identifiers, and their mapping against RepRisk identifiers. As our new Senior Business Analyst, Reference Data, you will own and drive acquisition, integration, and effective use of industry-leading Reference Data, in particular via a newly built proprietary entity matching solution. With this you will enable RepRisk to attribute ESG risks to correct companies and to provide our clients with ESG risk insights for their specific company and/or security portfolios. You will:
Serve as Reference Data owner, formulating Reference Data strategy, creating and maintaining roadmap(s) for integrating, storing and using Reference Data at RepRisk;
Formulate RepRisk's needs and negotiate with data partner companies to obtain necessary rights to high-quality Reference Data to meet client needs;
Drive technical integration, storage and management of Reference Data within RepRisk's systems; liaise with internal teams regarding initial mapping against other Reference Data, and ongoing maintenance of such mapping;
Design and implement quality assurance processes related to Reference Data, investigate suspected data bugs and oversee their resolution as may be required;
Together with the relevant scrum team, design, build and maintain a robust secure and comprehensive company/security matching solution utilizing Reference Data, which implies the following tasks:
Analysis of client needs, formulating and prioritizing business requirements;
Collaborating with developers and QA engineers on development and testing activities, performing user acceptance, drafting product documentation
Keeping internal and external stakeholders abreast of the developments;
You will be part of the global Products division and report to the Head of Innovation Hub.
Qualifications
You Bring
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in information/data management, business, software engineering, or another relevant field;
Direct experience working with and/or managing Reference Data; familiarity with major financial data providers (e.g. Bloomberg, FactSet, Refinitiv etc.); knowledge of best practices in using Reference Data for company matching purposes;
Strong data analysis and data quality assurance skills are a must; SQL knowledge would be a plus;
Experience in business analysis or software requirements engineering would be an advantage;
Team attitude, with an interest in working in a highly diverse team and across functions;
Reliability, curiosity, open-mindedness, and client-centricity; always striving to deliver operational excellence and superior quality;
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English;
