We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who will be responsible for managing the integrations of our web applications to various internal and external systems, customers, and third-party services.
Your primary focus will be development of all server-side logic, ensuring high performance and availability for all users. You will also be in charge of maintaining and improving our cloud-based infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Work with your squad to solve problems ranging from scalability and performance to architecture and feature development in an AWS environment
Plan, architect and maintain scalable web applications
Write code for complex applications, API functions, following technical specifications
Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
Coordinate with product manager, senior IT director and other resource persons regarding software and technical requirements
Deploy builds to staging and production servers
Take part in daily standup meetings
Lead a small team of junior developers
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
At least 3+ years proven professional programming experience, preferably with Javascript & NodeJS
In-depth understanding of the entire web development process from design, development, up to deployment
Experience in architecting databases and scalable web applications, experience in AWS preferred
Experience in serverless frameworks (ie. AWS Lambda) is a plus
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Good planning and leadership skills
Good oral & written communication skills in English
