Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will be expected to:
Develop new applications and enhancements
Support existing application development including maintenance, enhancements, and bug fixes
Complete development work as specified in a bug fix, request for change or design specification
Conduct unit testing for every development task
Work closely with business analysts to implement suitable solutions for the customer
Ensure assigned cases are up to date regarding the development progress
Ensure all changes to production systems are managed through change controls processes
Provide third-level support to the Service Delivery team
Document low-level designs based on business requirement specifications provided by the BA
Proactively identify inefficiencies in the applications and work on ways to improve
Advice on changes to improve system functionality and coding in the context of standard frameworks and new programming language advancements
Investigate new technologies to advance the application systems in the future
Identify opportunities to reduce costs and simplify solutions
Your Background
To qualify for this role, you must have:
A degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science/Information Technology
Demonstrated competencies:
with Microsoft C#, SQL, and web technologies
in developing SOAP/REST application programming interfaces
At least 4 years of experience with Microsoft C# and Visual Studio
Experience with the following:
.Net 4.5. Experience with .Net core is desirable
ASP.NET MVC. Some exposure to ASP.NET WebForms is advantageous
client-side technologies such as Javascript, Jquery, bootstrap, and CSS
AWS or Azure platforms
Angular5
Microsoft SQL Serve 2016
Microsoft Entity Framework
Git and SVN
Understanding of web service technology, SOAP and REST
Familiarity with Microsoft IIS configuration
Knowledge of MS Build, Bamboo, or Jenkins
Demonstrated understanding of SOLID principal and design patterns
