Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for undertaking all production accounting activities, including preparation, review and analysis of financial statements and taxation requirements and deliver associated quality, professional accounting outcomes. The individual in this role will provide high level tax and accounting support to the Manager/Partner.
Job Description:
-Deliver on other company group tax, accounting and advisory services as required and/or discussed with the Manager/Partner.
-Complete basic to high level complexity tax returns and financial accounts - company, trusts, and partnerships
-Complete basic to high level complexity GST, BAS, and IAS
Requirements
Applicants must have:
-Minimum 3-5 years of Australian Taxation experience or a similar role in the BPO industry
-Demonstrated experience preparing financial accounts, tax returns and activity statements
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or any relevant field, CPA or Chartered Accountant is preferred
-Successful applicants will be those who have the following skills or experience:
-Expert in basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
-Knowledgeable on GST, BAS, and IAS
-Demonstrated ability to develop and retain effective client relationships
-Proficiency in various accounting software including Handisoft, Handitax, Handiledger, MYOB & Xero
-Knowledge of bookkeeping solutions and Microsoft Office i.e. Excel, Outlook
-Well-developed interpersonal skills
-Demonstrated ability to mentor/train accountants
-Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and prioritize
-Very keen attention to detail and high levels of initiative
-Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
-Excellent written and verbal English business communication skills
