SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Responsibilities:
Maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization
Analyze financial data in order to prepare financial reports and prepare budget forecasts
Generate and interpret financial records and statements for management
Assist with tax audits and tax returns
Support month-end and year-end close process
Checking of all financial transactions to ensure alignment and compliance with internal and external policies, regulations, rules and guidelines
Mentor and train more junior accounting staff
Qualifications:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, chief or senior accountant
Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Awareness of business trends
Familiarity with financial accounting statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
Accuracy and attention to detail
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
Relevant certification (i.e., CMA or CPA) is required
Must be willing to work in Ortigas, Pasig City
